A parallel thread

ZX Spectrum & cassette tapes
Before apps, clouds and AI, there was a ZX Spectrum and software loaded from magnetic cassette tapes.
First operational software
During the Army years, Microsoft Access-based tools became Jorge’s first application and systems work.
Formal IT study
A Bachelor of IT added formal structure to a much older habit of experimenting with computers.

Software is now one way Jorge brings together years of practical environments, ideas and unfinished questions.

A more human view
The work matters because life happens around it.
From the Peruvian Army to construction, repair work, manufacturing and software, the path has never been a straight one.
Jorge moved to Australia in 2019, just before the world paused. Each new environment brought a different kind of problem—and something worth carrying into the next chapter. Family is part of the reason to keep building, without becoming part of the public record.

This is not a final career destination. It is a continuation: products, experiments and the same curiosity that began with a cassette tape and a ZX Spectrum.
In 2011, a former Army officerleft the military...
Not because he was convicted by a military court.
Not for a crime he didn't commit.
He didn't escape from a maximum-security stockade either.
He just resigned.
Much less exciting.
These days, when I find a problem worth solving,
I usually build something for it.
